وَعَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ : أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - قَالَ : " يَا بَنِي هَاشِمٍ ، يَا بَنِي عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ ، يَا صَفِيَّةُ ، عَمَّةَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - يَا فَاطِمَةُ ، بِنْتَ مُحَمَّدٍ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - لَا أَعْرِفَنَّ مَا جَاءَ النَّاسُ غَدًا يَحْمِلُونَ الْآخِرَةَ ، وَجِئْتُمْ تَحْمِلُونَ الدُّنْيَا ، إِنَّمَا أَوْلِيَائِي مِنْكُمْ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ الْمُتَّقُونَ ، إِنَّمَا مَثَلِي وَمَثَلُكُمْ كَمَثَلِ رَجُلٍ مُسْتَصْبِحٍ فِي قَوْمِهِ أَتَاهُمْ فَقَالَ : يَا قَوْمِ ، أَتَيْتُمْ غَشَيْتُمْ ، وَاصَبَاحَاهُ ، أَنَا النَّذِيرُ ، وَالْمَوْتُ الْمُغِيرُ ، وَالسَّاعَةُ الْمَوْعِدُ " . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ ، وَفِيهِ زَكَرِيَّا بْنُ يَحْيَى الْوَقَارُ ، وَهُوَ ضَعِيفٌ .
Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) states: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "O Banu Hashim! O Banu Abd al-Muttalib! O Safiyyah, aunt of the Messenger of Allah! O Fatimah, daughter of Muhammad! Let me not find that tomorrow (on the Day of Resurrection) people come carrying the Hereafter while you come carrying the world. On the Day of Resurrection, my companions among you will be the God-fearing. My example and yours is like a man who comes to his people and says to them: 'O my people! Danger is about to fall upon your heads! Danger is upon you! I am the warner, death is the one that brings ruin, and the Hour is the promised appointment (that is, the Hour is certain).'"
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat; its chain contains Zakariyya bin Yahya al-Waqqar, who is da'if (weak).
