Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Ismah bin Fatik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever seeks to be loved by people through what they like, and acts against the command of Allah Almighty, then on the Day of Resurrection, when he presents himself before Allah Almighty, Allah Almighty will be angry with him."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat; its chain contains a narrator, al-Fadl bin al-Mukhtar, and he is da'if (weak).
