Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Allah Almighty says: O son of Adam! As long as you keep calling upon Me and placing your hope in Me, I will keep forgiving you, whatever (shortcoming) there may be in you. If you come to Me with sins filling the earth, I will meet you with forgiveness filling the earth, as long as you do not associate anyone with Me as a partner. If your errors were to reach the edges of the sky, and then you asked Me for forgiveness, I would forgive you."
At-Tabarani recorded it in all three books; its chain contains a narrator, Ibrahim bin Ishaq al-Sini, and a narrator, Qays bin al-Rabi', and there is disagreement about both of them; the rest of its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih.
