بَابٌ اسْمَحْ يُسْمَحْ لَكَ .
Be lenient and leniency will be shown to you

عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " اسْمَحْ يُسْمَحْ لَكَ " . رَوَاهُ الْبَزَّارُ عَنْ شَيْخِهِ مَهْدِيِّ بْنِ جَعْفَرٍ الرَّمْلِيِّ ، وَقَدْ وَثَّقَهُ غَيْرُ وَاحِدٍ ، وَفِيهِ كَلَامٌ ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ . وَرَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الصَّغِيرِ وَالْأَوْسَطِ ، وَرِجَالُهُمَا رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Be lenient, and leniency will be shown to you."
Al-Bazzar recorded it from his teacher Mahdi bin Ja'far al-Ramli, whom more than one person declared thiqah (trustworthy), though there is also some criticism of him; the remaining narrators of this narration are the narrators of the Sahih.
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Saghir and al-Mu'jam al-Awsat, and the narrators of both are the narrators of the Sahih.
