Sayyiduna Ubadah bin Qurt (may Allah be pleased with him) (the narrator is unsure; perhaps the word is: Qurz) says: "Nowadays you do deeds that are finer (that is, lighter) than a hair in your eyes, yet in the blessed time of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) we used to count them among the destructive deeds." Humayd says: I asked Abu Qatadah: If he had lived to see our time, what would he have said then? Abu Qatadah said: Then this statement would have been even more fitting.
Ahmad recorded it and gave the name as 'Ubadah', while al-Tabarani gave it as 'Abbad', and Allah knows best. Some of the narrators of the chains of Ahmad and al-Tabarani are the narrators of the Sahih.
