Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to recite:
'Allahumma inni a'udhu bika min al-samami wal-bakam, wa a'udhu bika min al-ma'thami wal-maghram, wa a'udhu bika min al-ghammi (ya'ni al-gharaq), wa a'udhu bika min al-hamm' "O Allah, I seek refuge in You from deafness and muteness; I seek refuge in You from sin and debt (or any payment that becomes binding); I seek refuge in You from drowning; and I seek refuge in You from anxiety."
Al-Bazzar recorded it, and its chain is hasan (good).
