Book of Supplications
بَابُ الْأَدْعِيَةِ الْمَأْثُورَةِ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - الَّتِي دَعَا بِهَا ، وَعَلَّمَهَا .

اُردوEn
وَعَنْ جَابِرٍ : أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - يَقُولُ : " اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ عِلْمًا نَافِعًا ، وَعَمَلًا مُتَقَبَّلًا " . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ ، وَرِجَالُهُ وُثِّقُوا .
Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that he heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saying:
'Allahumma inni as'aluka ilman nafi'an, wa amalan mutaqabbalan'
(O Allah! I ask You for beneficial knowledge and accepted deeds.)
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat, and its narrators have been declared trustworthy.
