Sayyiduna Thawban (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to recite:
'Allahumma inni as'aluka al-tayyibat, wa tark al-munkarat, wa hubb al-masakin, wa an tatuba alayya, wa in aradta bi'ibadika fitnatan an taqbidani ghayra maftun'
(O Allah! I ask You for pure things, for abandoning evil deeds, and for love of the poor, and that You accept my repentance; and when You intend a trial for Your servants, take me in death in a state in which I have not fallen into the trial.)
Al-Bazzar recorded it, and its chain is hasan (fair).
