Sayyiduna Zayd bin Arqam (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "O Ali! Shall I not teach you a supplication such that, if you make it, then even if your sins were as many as the specks of dust (or tiny ants), they would be forgiven, even though you have already been forgiven? Recite this:
'Allahumma la ilaha illa anta al-Halim al-Karim, subhanaka tabarakta Rabb al-Arsh al-Azim'
(O Allah! There is no god but You; You are the Forbearing, the Generous. You are free of every imperfection, You are full of blessing, O Lord of the Mighty Throne!)"
Al-Tabarani recorded it; its chain contains a narrator, Habib bin Habib, the brother of Hamzah al-Zayyat, and he is da'if (weak).
