Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to make this supplication:
'Allahumma matti'ni bi sam'i wa basari, waj'alhuma al-waritha minni, wansurni 'ala man zalamani, wa arini minhu tha'ri' (O Allah, benefit me through my hearing and my sight, make them both my heirs, help me against whoever has wronged me, and show me my retribution from him).
Al-Bazzar recorded it; its chain contains a narrator, Layth bin Abi Sulaym, who is a mudallis; the remaining narrators are the narrators of the Sahih.
