Book of Supplications
بَابُ الْأَدْعِيَةِ الْمَأْثُورَةِ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - الَّتِي دَعَا بِهَا ، وَعَلَّمَهَا .

وَعَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ : كَانَ النَّبِيُّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - يَقُولُ فِي دُعَائِهِ : " اللَّهُمَّ أَقْبِلْ بِقَلْبِي عَلَى دِينِكَ ، وَاحْفَظْ مِنْ وَرَائِنَا بِرَحْمَتِكَ " . رَوَاهُ أَبُو يَعْلَى عَنْ شَيْخِهِ : أَبِي إِسْمَاعِيلَ الْجِيزِيِّ وَلَمْ أَعْرِفْهُ ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِ ثِقَاتٌ .
Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to recite in his supplication: 'Allahumma aqbil bi qalbi 'ala dinika, wahfaz min wara'ina bi rahmatika' (O Allah, keep my heart turned towards Your religion, and protect those behind us with Your mercy).
Abu Ya'la recorded it from his teacher Abu Isma'il al-Jizi, and I do not know him; the remaining narrators are thiqat (trustworthy).
