بَابُ الْأَدْعِيَةِ الْمَأْثُورَةِ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - الَّتِي دَعَا بِهَا ، وَعَلَّمَهَا .

وَعَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : أَنَّهُ كَانَ يَدْعُو بِهَؤُلَاءِ الْكَلِمَاتِ : " اللَّهُمَّ أَنْتَ الْأَوَّلُ فَلَا شَيْءَ قَبْلَكَ ، وَأَنْتَ الْآخِرُ فَلَا شَيْءَ بَعْدَكَ ، أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِّ كُلِّ دَابَّةٍ نَاصِيَتُهَا بِيَدِكَ ، وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْإِثْمِ وَالْكَسَلِ ، وَعَذَابِ الْقَبْرِ ، وَفِتْنَةِ الْغِنَى ، وَفِتْنَةِ الْفَقْرِ ، وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْمَأْثَمِ وَالْمَغْرَمِ ، اللَّهُمَّ نَقِّنِي مِنَ الْخَطَايَا كَمَا نَقَّيْتَ الثَّوْبَ الْأَبْيَضَ مِنَ الدَّنَسِ ، اللَّهُمَّ بَاعِدْ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَ خَطَايَايَ كَمَا بَاعَدْتَ بَيْنَ الْمَشْرِقِ وَالْمَغْرِبِ ، هَذَا مَا سَأَلَ مُحَمَّدٌ رَبَّهُ ، اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ خَيْرَ الدُّعَاءِ ، وَخَيْرَ الْمَسْأَلَةِ ، وَخَيْرَ النَّجَاحِ ، وَخَيْرَ الْعَمَلِ ، وَخَيْرَ الثَّوَابِ ، وَخَيْرَ الْحَيَاةِ ، وَخَيْرَ الْمَمَاتِ ، وَثَبِّتْنِي وَثَقِّلْ مَوَازِينِي ، وَارْفَعْ دَرَجَتِي ، وَتَقَبَّلْ صَلَاتِي ، وَاغْفِرْ خَطِيئَتِي ، وَأَسْأَلُكَ الدَّرَجَاتِ الْعُلَا مِنَ الْجَنَّةِ ، آمِينَ . اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ الْجَنَّةَ ، آمِينَ . اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ خَيْرَ مَا فُعِلَ ، وَخَيْرَ مَا عُمِلَ ، وَخَيْرَ مَا بَطَنَ ، وَخَيْرَ مَا ظَهَرَ ، وَالدَّرَجَاتِ الْعُلَا مِنَ الْجَنَّةِ ، آمِينَ . اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ أَنْ تَرْفَعَ ذِكْرِي ، وَتَضَعَ وِزْرِي ، وَتُصْلِحَ أَمْرِي ، وَتُطَهِّرَ قَلْبِي ، وَتَغْفِرَ ذَنْبِي ، وَتَحْفَظَ فَرْجِي ، وَتُنَوِّرَ قَلْبِي ، وَتَغْفِرَ ذَنْبِي ، وَأَسْأَلُكَ الدَّرَجَاتِ الْعُلَا مِنَ الْجَنَّةِ ، آمِينَ . اللَّهُمَّ نَجِّنِي مِنَ النَّارِ " . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ ، وَرِجَالُهُ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ غَيْرَ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ زُنْبُورٍ ، وَعَاصِمِ بْنِ عُبَيْدٍ ، وَهُمَا ثِقَتَانِ .
Sayyidah Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her), the wife of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to supplicate with these words:
'Allahumma anta al-awwalu fa la shay'a qablaka, wa anta al-akhiru fa la shay'a ba'daka, a'udhu bika min sharri kulli dabbatin nasiyatuha bi yadika, wa a'udhu bika min al-ithmi wa al-kasal, wa 'adhabi al-qabr, wa fitnati al-ghina, wa fitnati al-faqr, wa a'udhu bika min al-ma'thami wa al-maghram, Allahumma naqqini min al-khataya kama naqqayta al-thawba al-abyada min al-danas, Allahumma ba'id bayni wa bayna khatayaya kama ba'adta bayna al-mashriqi wa al-maghrib, hadha ma sa'ala Muhammadun rabbahu, Allahumma inni as'aluka khayra al-du'a', wa khayra al-mas'alah, wa khayra al-najah, wa khayra al-'amal, wa khayra al-thawab, wa khayra al-hayah, wa khayra al-mamat, wa thabbitni wa thaqqil mawazini, warfa' darajati, wa taqabbal salati, waghfir khati'ati, wa as'aluka al-darajati al-'ula min al-jannah, amin. Allahumma inni as'aluka al-jannah, amin. Allahumma inni as'aluka khayra ma fu'il, wa khayra ma 'umil, wa khayra ma batan, wa khayra ma zahar, wa al-darajati al-'ula min al-jannah, amin. Allahumma inni as'aluka an tarfa'a dhikri, wa tada'a wizri, wa tuslihu amri, wa tutahhira qalbi, wa taghfira dhanbi, wa tahfaza farji, wa tunawwira qalbi, wa taghfira dhanbi, wa as'aluka al-darajati al-'ula min al-jannah, amin. Allahumma najjini min al-nar' (O Allah, You are the First, there was nothing before You, and You are the Last, there will be nothing after You. I seek refuge in You from the evil of every creature whose forelock is in Your hand. I seek refuge in You from sin, laziness, the punishment of the grave, the trial of affluence and the trial of poverty. I seek refuge in You from sin and debt. O Allah, keep me clean of sins as You have kept the white garment clean of dirt. O Allah, put as much distance between me and my sins as You have put between the East and the West. This is what Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) asks of his Lord. O Allah, I ask You for the best supplication, the best asking, the best success, the best deed, the best reward, the best life and the best death. Keep me firm, make my scales heavy, raise my rank, accept my prayer, forgive my sin, and I ask You for the high ranks of Paradise. Amin! O Allah, I ask You for Paradise. Amin! O Allah, I ask You for the best of what has been done, the best of what has been practised, the best of what is hidden and the best of what is apparent, and for the high ranks of Paradise. Amin! O Allah, I ask You to raise my mention, lighten my burden, set my affair right, purify my heart, forgive my sin, guard my private parts, illuminate my heart and forgive my sin, and I ask You for the high ranks of Paradise. O Allah, save me from the Fire).
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat, and its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih, except for Muhammad bin Zunbur and Asim bin Ubayd, both of whom are thiqah (trustworthy).
