It is reported from the members of the delegation of the Abd al-Qays tribe that they heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say:
'Allahumma ij'alna min 'ibadika al-muntakhabin, al-ghurri al-muhajjalin, al-wafdi al-mutaqabbalin' (O Allah, include us among Your chosen servants, those with radiant faces, and a delegation that is accepted).
The narrator says: The people asked: O Messenger of Allah! Who is meant by the chosen servants of Allah? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The righteous servants of Allah. They asked: Who is meant by those with radiant faces? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Those whose places of purification will be shining. They asked: Who is meant by the accepted delegation? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The delegation that belongs to this Ummah, who will come as a delegation, together with their Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), into the presence of their Lord.
Ahmad recorded it, and its chain contains narrators whom I do not know.
