Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: There are some supplications which I heard from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him); as long as I live, I will not abandon them:
'Allahumma ij'alni u'azzimu shukraka, wa ukthiru dhikraka, wa attabi'u nasihataka, wa ahfazu wasiyyataka' (O Allah, make me such that I give You abundant thanks, remember You much, follow Your counsel and preserve Your injunction).
Ahmad recorded it by way of Abu Yazid al-Madani, and according to one narration it is transmitted from Abu Sa'id al-Himsi, and I do not know him; the remaining narrators of both are thiqat (trustworthy).
