بَابٌ فِيمَنْ ذُكِرَ عِنْدَهُ فَلَمْ يُصَلِّ عَلَيْهِ .
One in whose presence the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) is mentioned and he does not send blessings upon him

وَعَنْ مَالِكِ بْنِ الْحُوَيْرِثِ : أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - رَقِيَ عَتَبَةَ الْمِنْبَرِ فَقَالَ : " آمِينَ " ، ثُمَّ رَقِيَ أُخْرَى فَقَالَ : " آمِينَ " ، ثُمَّ رَقِيَ عَتَبَةً أُخْرَى فَقَالَ : " آمِينَ " ، فَقَالَ : " أَتَانِي جِبْرِيلُ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - فَقَالَ : يَا مُحَمَّدُ ، مَنْ أَدْرَكَ وَالِدَيْهِ أَوْ أَحَدَهُمَا ثُمَّ دَخَلَ النَّارَ ; فَأَبْعَدَهُ اللَّهُ ، قُلْ : آمِينَ ، فَقُلْتُ : آمِينَ ، وَمَنْ أَدْرَكَ رَمَضَانَ فَلَمْ يُغْفَرْ لَهُ ; أَبْعَدَهُ اللَّهُ ، قُلْ : آمِينَ ، فَقُلْتُ : آمِينَ ، وَمَنْ ذُكِرْتَ عِنْدَهُ فَلَمْ يُصَلِّ عَلَيْكَ ; أَبْعَدَهُ اللَّهُ ، قُلْ : آمِينَ ، فَقُلْتُ " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَفِيهِ عِمْرَانُ بْنُ أَبَانَ ، وَثَّقَهُ ابْنُ حِبَّانَ ، وَضَعَّفَهُ غَيْرُ وَاحِدٍ ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِ ثِقَاتٌ .
وَقَدْ خَرَّجَ ابْنُ حِبَّانَ هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ فِي صَحِيحِهِ مِنْ هَذِهِ الطَّرِيقِ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَفِيهِ عِمْرَانُ بْنُ أَبَانَ ، وَثَّقَهُ ابْنُ حِبَّانَ ، وَضَعَّفَهُ غَيْرُ وَاحِدٍ ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِ ثِقَاتٌ .
وَقَدْ خَرَّجَ ابْنُ حِبَّانَ هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ فِي صَحِيحِهِ مِنْ هَذِهِ الطَّرِيقِ .
Sayyiduna Malik bin al-Huwayrith (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) climbed a step of the pulpit and he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Amin. When he climbed the second step he said: Amin. When he climbed the third step he said: Amin. Then he told: "Jibril came to me and said: 'O Sayyiduna Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him)! Whoever reaches his parents, or one of them, and then goes into Hell, may Allah Almighty distance him. Say Amin.' So I said: Amin. (Then Jibril said:) 'Whoever reaches the month of Ramadan and is then not forgiven, may Allah Almighty distance him. Say Amin.' So I said: Amin. (Then Jibril said:) 'The person before whom you are mentioned and who does not send blessings upon you, may Allah Almighty distance him. Say Amin.' So I said: Amin!"
Al-Tabarani recorded it; its chain contains Imran bin Aban, whom Ibn Hibban declared thiqah (trustworthy) while more than one declared him da'if (weak); the remaining narrators of this report are thiqat (trustworthy). Imam Ibn Hibban (may Allah have mercy on him) recorded this hadith in his Sahih through this chain.
