Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) climbed the first step of the pulpit and said: Amin. Then he climbed the second step and said: Amin. Then he climbed the third step and again said: Amin. Then he sat down. The narrator states: The people asked: "O Messenger of Allah! Upon what did you say Amin?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Jibril came to me and said: 'May the nose of such a person be rubbed in dust before whom you are mentioned and who does not send blessings upon you.' So I said: Amin. Jibril said: 'May the nose of the person be rubbed in dust who reaches one of his parents, or both of them, and then does not enter Paradise (by serving them).' So I said: Amin. (Then Jibril said:) 'May the nose of such a person be rubbed in dust who reaches the month of Ramadan and is then not forgiven.' So I said: Amin!"
Al-Bazzar recorded it; its chain contains Salamah bin Wardan, who is da'if (weak), and about him al-Bazzar says: He is salih (acceptable); the remaining narrators of this report are the narrators of the 'Sahih'.
