Sayyiduna Abdullah bin al-Harith bin Jaz' al-Zubaydi (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came into the mosque and sat upon the pulpit, and he said: Amin, Amin, Amin. When he had finished, it was said: "O Messenger of Allah! Today we saw you do something that you did not do before." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "At the first step Jibril came to me and said: 'O Sayyiduna Muhammad! Whoever reaches his parents and they both do not get him admitted into Paradise, may Allah Almighty distance him and distance him further.'" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "So I said: Amin. Then at the second step Jibril said to me: 'Whoever reaches the month of Ramadan and is then not forgiven, may Allah Almighty distance him and distance him further.' So I said: Amin. Then at the third step Jibril appeared before me and said: 'The person before whom you are mentioned and who does not send blessings upon you, may Allah Almighty distance him and distance him further.' So I said: Amin!"
Al-Bazzar recorded it, and al-Tabarani recorded something similar; its chain contains narrators whom I do not know.
