Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ascended the pulpit and said Amin three times. Then he said: "Do you know why I said 'Amin'?" The people said: "Allah Almighty and His Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) know best." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Jibril came to me and said: 'The person before whom you are mentioned and who does not send blessings upon you, he enters Hell; may Allah Almighty distance him and cast him far away.' So I said: Amin. (Then Jibril said:) 'Whoever reaches his parents, or one of them, and then does not treat them well and goes into Hell, may Allah Almighty distance him and cast him far away.' So I said: Amin. (Then Jibril said:) 'Whoever reaches the month of Ramadan and is then not forgiven and goes into Hell, may Allah Almighty distance him and cast him far away.' So I said: Amin!"
Al-Tabarani recorded it; its chain contains Ishaq bin Abdullah bin Kaysan, in whom there is weakness.
