وَعَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ قَالَ : قَالَ رَجُلٌ عِنْدَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ : إِنِّي مُؤْمِنٌ ، فَقَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ : قُلْ إِنِّي فِي الْجَنَّةِ ، لَكِنَّا آمَنَّا بِاللَّهِ وَمَلَائِكَتِهِ وَكُتُبِهِ وَرُسُلِهِ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ ، وَرِجَالُهُ ثِقَاتٌ .

Alqamah states: In the presence of Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him), a man said: "Indeed, I am a believer." Sayyiduna Abdullah said: "Then also say: 'Indeed, I am of the people of Paradise.' But we (say): We believe in Allah Almighty, His angels, His Books and His Messengers."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir, and its narrators are thiqat (trustworthy).
