وَعَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يَحْيَى بْنِ حِبَّانَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ : أَنَّ رَجُلًا قَالَ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، أَجْعَلُ ثُلُثَ صَلَاتِي عَلَيْكَ ؟ قَالَ : " نَعَمْ إِنْ شِئْتَ " . قَالَ : الثُّلُثَيْنِ ؟ قَالَ : " نَعَمْ " . قَالَ : فَصَلَاتِي كُلَّهَا ؟ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِذًا يَكْفِيكَ اللَّهُ مَا هَمَّكَ مِنْ أَمْرِ دُنْيَاكَ وَآخِرَتِكَ " . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَإِسْنَادُهُ حَسَنٌ .
Muhammad bin Yahya bin Habban narrates from his father, from his grandfather, this account: "A man said: O Messenger of Allah! Shall I devote a third of my voluntary worship to sending blessings upon you? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Yes, if you wish. He asked: Shall I make it two thirds? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) replied: Yes! He said: (Shall I devote) all of my voluntary worship (to sending blessings upon you?) The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: 'In that case, Allah Almighty will suffice you in the worries (or needs) of your affairs of this world and the Hereafter.'"
Al-Tabarani recorded it, and its chain is hasan (good).
