Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 17279

وَعَنْ أُبَيِّ بْنِ كَعْبٍ قَالَ : قَالَ رَجُلٌ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، أَرَأَيْتَ إِنْ جَعَلْتُ صَلَاتِي كُلَّهَا عَلَيْكَ ؟ قَالَ : " إِذًا يَكْفِيكَ اللَّهُ - تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى - مَا هَمَّكَ مِنْ دُنْيَاكَ وَآخِرَتِكَ " . قُلْتُ : رَوَاهُ التِّرْمِذِيُّ ، وَلَفْظُهُ : " إِذًا تُكْفَى هَمَّكَ ، وَيُغْفَرُ ذَنْبُكَ " . رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ ، وَإِسْنَادُهُ جَيِّدٌ .
Sayyiduna Ubayy bin Ka'b (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: A man said: O Messenger of Allah! What is your view if I keep sending blessings upon you throughout all my voluntary worship? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "In that case, Allah Almighty will suffice you in all your worries of this world and the Hereafter."
(Allamah al-Haythami says:) I say:
Al-Tirmidhi recorded it, and the wording of his narration is: "In that case, your worry will be taken care of, and your sin will be forgiven."
Ahmad recorded it, and its chain is jayyid (good).
