Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 17212

Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Indeed, Allah Almighty is Modest and Generous. He is too modest before His servant, when that servant raises both his hands, for Allah Almighty to send them back disappointed with nothing in them."
Imam Abu Ya'la recorded this narration, and Imam al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Awsat. Its chain contains a narrator, Yusuf bin Muhammad bin al-Munkadir, who has been declared trustworthy despite his weakness; the remaining narrators of both are the narrators of the Sahih.
