وَعَنْ يُونُسَ بْنِ مَيْسَرَةَ بْنِ حَلْبَسٍ قَالَ : لَقِيتُ وَاثِلَةَ بْنَ الْأَسْقَعِ فَسَلَّمْتُ عَلَيْهِ ، فَقُلْتُ : كَيْفَ أَنْتَ يَا أَبَا شَدَّادٍ ، أَصْلَحَكَ اللَّهُ ؟ قَالَ : بِخَيْرٍ يَا ابْنَ أَخِي . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَرِجَالُهُ ثِقَاتٌ .
وَقَدْ تَقَدَّمَ شَيْءٌ مِنْ هَذَا فِي الْبِرِّ وَالصِّلَةِ أَوِ الْأَدَبِ .

Yunus bin Maysarah bin Halbas narrates: I met Sayyiduna Wathilah bin al-Asqa' (may Allah be pleased with him) and greeted him with salam. I said: "O Abu Shaddad, how are you? May Allah Almighty keep you well." He replied: "O my nephew, I am well."
