Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 17141

Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "(If a fire breaks out somewhere,) extinguish the fire with takbir (Allahu Akbar)!"
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat, and its chain contains narrators whom I do not know. (Allamah al-Haythami says:) I say: Earlier, in the Book of Tafsir, in the chapter on Surah al-Kahf, the names of the People of the Cave were mentioned, and it was mentioned there that whoever writes their names on something and throws it into a burning fire, the fire will be extinguished by the leave of Allah Almighty. And Allah knows best.
