Sayyiduna Abu Musa al-Ash'ari (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever is afflicted by worry or grief should supplicate with these words:
'Allahumma inni 'abduka, wabnu 'abdika, wabnu amatika, nasiyati bi-yadika, madin fiyya hukmuka, 'adlun fiyya qada'uka, as'aluka bi-kulli ismin huwa laka, sammayta bihi nafsaka, aw anzaltahu fi kitabika, aw 'allamtahu ahadan min khalqika, awista'tharta bihi fi 'ilmil-ghaybi 'indaka, an taj'alal-Qur'ana rabi'a qalbi, wa nura sadri, wa jala'a huzni, wa dhahaba hammi'
(O Allah, indeed I am Your slave, the son of Your slave, the son of Your female slave. My forelock is in Your hand; Your command concerning me prevails; Your decree concerning me is just. I ask You by every name that is Yours, with which You named Yourself, or which You revealed in Your Book, or which You taught to anyone of Your creation, or which You kept with Yourself in the unseen (by its means I ask You) that You make the Qur'an the spring of my heart, the light of my chest, the removal of my grief and the departure of my worry.)"
A man said: O Messenger of Allah! The loser is the one who misses out on these words. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Yes!" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Recite them and teach them! For whoever recites them and teaches them, seeking what is in them, Allah Almighty will remove his distress and prolong his joy."
Al-Tabarani recorded it, and its chain contains a narrator whom I do not know.
