بَابُ مَا يَقُولُ إِذَا هَاجَتِ الرِّيحُ .
What one says when the wind blows strongly
Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 17124

وَعَنْ سَلَمَةَ بْنِ الْأَكْوَعِ قَالَ : كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - إِذَا اشْتَدَّتِ الرِّيحُ قَالَ : " اللَّهُمَّ لَقْحًا لَا عَقِيمًا " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ وَالْأَوْسَطِ ، وَرِجَالُهُ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ غَيْرَ الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، وَهُوَ ثِقَةٌ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ وَالْأَوْسَطِ ، وَرِجَالُهُ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ غَيْرَ الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، وَهُوَ ثِقَةٌ .
Sayyiduna Salamah bin al-Akwa' (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: When a strong wind blew, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would supplicate:
'Allahumma laqhan la 'aqima' (O Allah, let it be one that brings life, not one that brings ruin.)
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir and al-Mu'jam al-Awsat, and its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih, except for al-Mughirah bin Abd al-Rahman, whose case is different, and he is thiqah (trustworthy).
