بَابُ مَا يَقُولُ إِذَا آوَى إِلَى فِرَاشِهِ وَإِذَا انْتَبَهَ .

Majma al-Zawaid 17036 — What one says when going to bed
وَعَنْ أَبِي مَالِكٍ الْأَشْعَرِيِّ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِذَا نَامَ ابْنُ آدَمَ قَالَ الْمَلَكُ لِلشَّيْطَانِ : أَعْطِنِي صَحِيفَتَكَ ، فَيُعْطِيهِ إِيَّاهَا ، فَمَا وَجَدَ فِي صَحِيفَتِهِ مِنْ حَسَنَةٍ مَحَى عَنْهُ بِهَا عَشْرَ سَيِّئَاتٍ مِنْ صَحِيفَةِ الشَّيْطَانِ ، وَكَتَبَهُنَّ حَسَنَاتٍ . وَإِذَا أَرَادَ أَحَدُكُمْ أَنْ يَنَامَ فَلْيُكَبِّرْ ثَلَاثًا وَثَلَاثِينَ تَكْبِيرَةً ، وَيَحْمَدْ أَرْبَعًا وَثَلَاثِينَ تَحْمِيدَةً ، وَيُسَبِّحْ ثَلَاثًا وَثَلَاثِينَ تَسْبِيحَةً ، فَتِلْكَ مِائَةٌ " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَفِيهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ عَيَّاشٍ ، وَهُوَ ضَعِيفٌ .

Sayyiduna Abu Malik al-Ash'ari (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When the son of Adam goes to sleep, the angel says to the devil: Give me your record! The devil gives him that record, and for every good deed the angel finds in that person's record, he erases with it ten evil deeds from the devil's record and writes them down as good deeds. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) says: When any one of you is about to sleep, let him say Allahu Akbar 33 times, Alhamdu lillah 34 times and Subhan Allah 33 times; that makes one hundred."
