Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 16993

Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to recite this in the morning:
'Allahumma bika asbahna, wa bika amsayna, wa bika nahya wa namutu wa ilaykal-masir'
"O Allah, by Your help we have entered the morning and by Your help we have entered the evening; by Your help we live and we shall die, and to You alone is the return."
Ahmad recorded it, and its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih.
