Sayyiduna Salman al-Farisi (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "A man recited these words: 'Alhamdulillahi kathiran' (all praise belongs to Allah, praise that is abundant). An angel considered recording it too great a task, so he referred the matter to his Lord, and he was told: 'Record it just as My servant said it, that it is abundant.'"
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat; its chain contains Yusuf bin Abd al-Malik al-Wasiti, whom I do not know, and the rest of its narrators are thiqat (trustworthy).
