Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Whoever recites these words: 'Allah is free from every imperfection, all praise belongs to Allah alone, there is no god but Allah, and Allah is the Greatest,' ten good deeds are written for him in return for every letter. Whoever helps in a dispute over falsehood remains continually under the displeasure of Allah Almighty until he withdraws from it. Whoever's intercession stands in the way of one of the prescribed punishments (hadd) of Allah Almighty acts in opposition to the command of Allah Almighty. And whoever slanders a believing man or a believing woman, Allah Almighty will confine him on the Day of Resurrection in 'Rad'at al-Khabal' until he has borne the punishment for what he said, and he will not be able to come out of it."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir and al-Mu'jam al-Awsat, and the narrators of both are the narrators of the Sahih, except Muhammad bin Mansur al-Tusi, who is thiqah (trustworthy).
