Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 16853

Sayyiduna Salman al-Farisi (may Allah be pleased with him) states: I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Whoever recites 'Subhanallah' (Glory be to Allah) once, or recites 'Al-hamdu lillah' (All praise is for Allah) once, or recites 'La ilaha illallah' (There is no deity except Allah) once, or recites 'Allahu akbar' (Allah is the Greatest) once, Allah Almighty plants a tree for that person in Paradise whose root is of red ruby, set with precious stones; its blossoms are like the breasts of virgins, and its fruits are sweeter than honey and softer than foam."
Tabarani recorded it; its chain contains a narrator, Muhammad bin Adi, who narrated it from Sayyiduna Salman al-Farisi (may Allah be pleased with him), and I do not know him; its chain also contains a group of da'if (weak) narrators who have been declared trustworthy.
