Rabi' bin Khaytham says: Whoever recites: 'La ilaha illallahu wahdahu la sharika lahu, lahul-mulku wa lahul-hamdu, yuhyi wa yumitu, wa huwa 'ala kulli shay'in qadir' (There is no deity except Allah; He alone is the deity, He has no partner; to Him alone belongs the dominion, to Him alone belongs all praise; He gives life and He gives death, and He has power over all things), (the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, says:) it will be for him like freeing four slaves from the descendants of Sayyiduna Isma'il (peace be upon him).
The narrator states: I asked Rabi' bin Khaytham: "From whom did you hear this narration?" He replied: "From Amr bin Maymun." The narrator says: I came to Amr bin Maymun and asked:
"From whom did you hear this narration?" He replied: "From Ibn Abi Layla." I came to Ibn Abi Layla and asked: "From whom did you hear this narration?" He told me: "From Sayyiduna Abu Ayyub al-Ansari (may Allah be pleased with him), and he narrated it from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him)."
Tabarani recorded it, and its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih.
