وَعَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنْ بَنِي أَسَدٍ : أَنَّ أَبَا ذَرٍّ أَخْبَرَهُ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " أَشَدُّ أُمَّتِي لِي حُبًّا قَوْمٌ يَكُونُونَ - أَوْ يَخْرُجُونَ - بَعْدِي ، يَوَدُّ أَحَدُهُمْ أَنَّهُ أَعْطَى أَهْلَهُ وَمَالَهُ وَأَنَّهُ يَرَانِي " . رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ ، وَلَمْ يُسَمِّ التَّابِعِيَّ ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِ إِحْدَى الطَّرِيقَيْنِ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ .
A man from Banu Asad states that Sayyiduna Abu Dharr al-Ghifari (may Allah be pleased with him) told him that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Those of my Ummah with the most intense love for me are people who will be after me (the narrator is unsure, or perhaps the words are:) who will come after me. One of them would wish that he could give away his family and his wealth and in exchange have seen me."
Ahmad recorded it; he did not name the Tabi'i, and the rest of the narrators of one of its two routes are the narrators of the Sahih.
