وَعَنِ الْعَبَّاسِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " لَقَدْ بَرَّأَ اللَّهُ هَذِهِ الْجَزِيرَةَ مِنَ الشِّرْكِ مَا لَمْ تُضِلَّهُمُ النُّجُومُ " . رَوَاهُ الْبَزَّارُ ، وَأَبُو يَعْلَى بِنَحْوِهِ ، وَالطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ ، وَرِجَالُ أَبِي يَعْلَى ثِقَاتٌ .
Sayyiduna al-Abbas bin Abd al-Muttalib (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Indeed, Allah Almighty has freed this peninsula from polytheism (shirk), so long as the stars do not lead them astray."
Al-Bazzar recorded it, Abu Ya'la recorded something similar, and al-Tabarani in al-Awsat. The narrators of Abu Ya'la are thiqat (trustworthy).
