وَعَنْ أَبِي الدَّرْدَاءِ ، وَعُبَادَةَ بْنِ الصَّامِتِ : أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - حَدَّثَنَا : " أَنَّ الشَّيْطَانَ قَدْ يَئِسَ أَنْ يُعْبَدَ فِي جَزِيرَةِ الْعَرَبِ " . قُلْتُ : فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَإِسْنَادُهُ حَسَنٌ .
Sayyiduna Abu al-Darda (may Allah be pleased with him) and Sayyiduna Ubadah bin al-Samit (may Allah be pleased with him) state: the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to us: "Satan has despaired of being worshipped in the Arabian Peninsula."
(Allamah al-Haythami says:) I say: After this, they mentioned the full hadith.
Al-Tabarani recorded it, and its chain is hasan (good).
