عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " إِذَا اخْتَلَفَ النَّاسُ فَالْعَدْلُ فِي مُضَرَ " . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ مِنْ طَرِيقِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الْمُؤَمَّلِ ، عَنِ الْمُثَنَّى بْنِ الصَّبَّاحِ ، وَكِلَاهُمَا ضَعِيفٌ ، وَقَدْ وُثِّقَا .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When people differ among themselves, justice will be in Mudar."
Al-Tabarani recorded it via Abdullah bin al-Mu'ammal from al-Muthanna bin al-Sabbah; both of them are da'if (weak), though both have also been declared trustworthy.
