عَنْ عَائِشَةَ : أَنَّهُ كَانَ عَلَيْهَا رَقَبَةٌ مِنْ وَلَدِ إِسْمَاعِيلَ ، فَجَاءَ سَبْيٌ مِنْ خَوْلَانَ ، فَأَرَادَتْ أَنْ تَعْتِقَ مِنْهُمْ ، فَنَهَاهَا النَّبِيُّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - ثُمَّ جَاءَ سَبْيٌ مِنْ مُضَرَ مِنْ بَنِي الْعَنْبَرِ ، فَأَمَرَهَا النَّبِيُّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - أَنْ تَعْتِقَ مِنْهُمْ . رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ ، وَالْبَزَّارُ بِنَحْوِهِ ، وَرِجَالُ أَحْمَدَ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ .
Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) states: She was obliged to free someone from among the descendants of Sayyiduna Isma'il (peace be upon him). Once some captives of the tribe of Khawlan came, and Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) intended to free one of them, but the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade her. Then some captives came from the tribe of Mudar, belonging to Banu al-Anbar, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) instructed Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) to free one of them.
