Muhammad bin Abdullah bin Abd al-Rahman reports from his father, from his grandfather: "The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saw some people approaching and said: 'The people of the tribe of Azd have come to you; they are the most handsome of people in face, the sweetest of them in speech, and the most truthful of them when met.'" On one occasion the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saw some people approaching and asked: "Who are these people?" The people said: "These are Bakr bin Wa'il." Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "O Allah! Mend their broken ones, give shelter to their outcasts, make their righteous one pleased, and do not show me any beggar from among them."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat and al-Mu'jam al-Kabir; its chain contains Sulayman bin Dawud al-Shadhakuni, who is da'if (weak).
