Sayyiduna Amr bin Abasah (may Allah be pleased with him) says: One day horses were presented before the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and Uyaynah was with him at that time. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I am a greater horseman than you." Uyaynah said: "If you are a greater horseman than I, then I am a greater man on foot than you." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked: "How is that?" He said: "The best of men are those who wear cloaks, place their swords on their shoulders, and keep their spears near the hooves (or nostrils) of their horses, and they are the people of Najd." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "You are wrong. (That is, those who are the best) are the men of the people of Yemen. Faith is Yemeni, extending to Lakhm, Judham and Amilah. What Himyar has eaten is better than the one who eats it, and Hadramawt is better than Banu al-Harith."
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) also said: "Rule, kingship and dominance belong to Allah Almighty alone."
(The narrator says:) Al-Simt sent a message to Sayyiduna Amr bin Abasah (may Allah be pleased with him): "Did you hear the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: 'Hadramawt is better than Banu al-Harith'?" He replied: "Yes." Al-Simt said: "I believe in Allah Almighty and His Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him)."
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) cursed the four kings: Jamada', Mikhwasa', Abda'ah and Mishraha', and their sister al-Amarradah. (The narrator says:) When the Muslims were in prostration, this woman would come to them and mount them.
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) also said: "Allah Almighty commanded me to curse Quraysh, so I cursed them twice. Then He commanded me to pray for mercy for them twice, so I prayed for mercy for them twice. In Paradise the people of the tribes of Madhhij, Aslam, Ghifar and Muzaynah will be the most numerous, and those mixed with them from the tribe of Juhaynah will be better before Allah Almighty on the Day of Resurrection than Banu Asad, Tamim, Hawazin and Ghatafan. I do not care if both tribes perish. My Lord commanded me to curse two tribes: Tamim bin Murr seven times, so I cursed them, and Bakr bin Wa'il five times. The tribe of Usayyah disobeyed Allah Almighty and His Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him), except that the case of the tribes of Mazin and Qays is different.
None of these (disbelievers) will ever enter Paradise: Mana'ish and Muladis. He also stated that these are two tribes that went astray; during a year of drought they both went towards the east and went off into a corner away from the (inhabited) land, which could not be reached. This was in the time of Ignorance (Jahiliyyah)."
Al-Tabarani recorded it from his teacher Bakr bin Sahl al-Dimyati. Al-Dhahabi says: people have narrated from him, and he is muqarib al-hal (fairly acceptable). Al-Nasa'i (may Allah have mercy on him) says: he is da'if (weak). The rest of its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih. He (al-Tabarani) also recorded a similar narration with a jayyid (good) chain from two other teachers.
