Majma al-Zawaid 16464 — Reports on the virtue of Quraysh
وَعَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ : أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - قَالَ : " أَحِبُّوا قُرَيْشًا ; فَإِنَّهُ مَنْ أَحَبَّهُمْ أَحَبَّهُ اللَّهُ - عَزَّ وَجَلَّ - " . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَفِيهِ عَبْدُ الْمُهَيْمِنِ بْنُ عَبَّاسِ بْنِ سَهْلٍ ، وَهُوَ ضَعِيفٌ .
Sayyiduna Sahl bin Sa'd (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "Love Quraysh! For whoever loves them, Allah Almighty will love that person."
Imam al-Tabarani recorded this narration. Its chain contains Abd al-Muhaymin bin Abbas bin Sahl, who is da'if (weak).
