Majma al-Zawaid 16449 — Reports on the virtue of Quraysh
وَعَنْ عَائِشَةَ : أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - دَخَلَ عَلَيْهَا فَقَالَ : " لَوْلَا أَنْ تَبْطَرَ قُرَيْشٌ لَأَخْبَرْتُهَا بِمَا لَهَا عِنْدَ اللَّهِ " . رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ ، وَرِجَالُهُ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ .
Sayyidah Aishah Siddiqah (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came to her and said: "Were it not for the fear that Quraysh would become arrogant, I would have told them what standing they have with Allah Almighty."
