وَعَنْ سَمُرَةَ : أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - كَانَ يَقُولُ لَنَا : " إِنَّكُمْ تُوشِكُونَ أَنْ تَكُونُوا فِي النَّاسِ كَالْمِلْحِ فِي الطَّعَامِ ، وَلَا يَصْلُحُ الطَّعَامُ إِلَّا بِالْمِلْحِ " .
رَوَاهُ الْبَزَّارُ وَالطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَإِسْنَادُ الطَّبَرَانِيِّ حَسَنٌ .

Sayyiduna Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to say to us: "Soon you will remain among the (other) people like salt in food, and food does not become good without salt."
Imam al-Bazzar and Imam al-Tabarani recorded it, and al-Tabarani's chain is hasan (good).
