وَعَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ السَّعْدِيِّ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " خِيَارُ أُمَّتِي أَوَّلُهَا وَآخِرُهَا بِقَبِيحٍ ، لَيْسُوا مِنِّي ، وَلَسْتُ مِنْهُمْ " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَفِيهِ يَزِيدُ بْنُ رَبِيعَةَ ، وَهُوَ مَتْرُوكٌ .

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin al-Sa'di (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The best of my ummah are its earliest people, and in its last part there will be evil people; they will not be of me, and I will have nothing to do with them."
Imam al-Tabarani recorded it. Its chain contains a narrator, Yazid bin Rabi'ah, and he is matruk (abandoned).
