عَنْ نَوْفَلٍ الْأَشْجَعِيِّ : أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - دَفَعَ رَقَبَةً لِأُمِّ سَلَمَةَ إِلَيْهِ ، فَقَالَ لَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " إِنَّمَا أَنْتَ ظِئْرِي " . فَمَكَثَ عِنْدَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - مَا شَاءَ اللَّهُ ، ثُمَّ قَالَ : " مَا فَعَلَتِ الْجَارِيَةُ - أَوِ الْجُوَيْرِيَةُ - ؟ " . قُلْتُ : صَالِحَةٌ عِنْدَ أُمِّهَا .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَرِجَالُهُ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ غَيْرَ خَلَّادِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ ، وَهُوَ ثِقَةٌ .

Sayyiduna Nawfal al-Ashja'i (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) handed over a slave girl of Sayyidah Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) to him, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to him: You are my dear one. Then he stayed with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) for as long as Allah willed. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked: How is that slave girl? I said: She is well, and she is with her mother.
Al-Tabarani recorded it, and its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih, except Khallad bin Aslam, who is thiqah (trustworthy).
