عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى قَالَ : كَانَ سَعْدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ يُسَمَّى عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - الْقَارِئَ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ مُرْسَلًا ، وَرِجَالُهُ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ .
قُلْتُ : وَيَأْتِي حَدِيثٌ فِي فَضْلِهِ فِي فَضْلِ الْأَنْصَارِ فِيمَنْ جَمَعَ الْقُرْآنَ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ مُرْسَلًا ، وَرِجَالُهُ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ .
قُلْتُ : وَيَأْتِي حَدِيثٌ فِي فَضْلِهِ فِي فَضْلِ الْأَنْصَارِ فِيمَنْ جَمَعَ الْقُرْآنَ .
Abd al-Rahman bin Abi Layla narrates: Sayyiduna Sa'd bin Ubayd (may Allah be pleased with him) used to be called "the Qari" (the reciter) in the time of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him).
Al-Tabarani recorded it as a mursal report, and its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih.
Allamah al-Haythami says: I say: A hadith about his virtue will come later, in the virtues of the Ansar, among those who collected the Qur'an.
