Sayyiduna Abu al-Darda' (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: A man whose name was Harmalah came into the presence of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and submitted: "O Messenger of Allah! Faith is here," and he pointed to his tongue, "and hypocrisy is here," and he pointed to his heart, "and I remember Allah only a little." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "O Allah! Make his tongue one that remembers You and his heart one that is grateful, grant him love for me and love for whoever loves me, and steer his affair towards good."
Al-Tabarani recorded it; its chain contains a narrator who has not been named. The rest of its narrators are thiqat (trustworthy).
