Sayyiduna al-Harith bin Amr al-Sahmi (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that on the occasion of the Farewell Hajj he came into the presence of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), who was at that time riding his she-camel al-Adba'. Sayyiduna al-Harith (may Allah be pleased with him) was a large-bodied man. He got down from his mount, came towards the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and drew near to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), until his face came level with the knee of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) bent down and passed his hand over the face of Sayyiduna al-Harith (may Allah be pleased with him). The narrator says: So the radiance remained on the face of Sayyiduna al-Harith (may Allah be pleased with him) until his death.
Al-Tabarani recorded it, and its narrators are thiqat (trustworthy).
