بَابُ مَا جَاءَ فِي عَمْرٍو أَيْضًا وَابْنِهِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ وَأُمِّ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ - رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمْ - .

عَنْ طَلْحَةَ - يَعْنِي ابْنَ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ - قَالَ : أَلَا أُخْبِرُكُمْ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - بِشَيْءٍ ؟ أَلَا إِنِّي سَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ : " عَمْرُو بْنُ الْعَاصِ مِنْ صَالِحِي قُرَيْشٍ ، وَنِعْمَ أَهْلُ الْبَيْتِ : أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، وَأُمُّ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، وَعَبْدُ اللَّهِ " . قُلْتُ : رَوَاهُ التِّرْمِذِيُّ بِاخْتِصَارٍ . رَوَاهُ أَبُو يَعْلَى ، وَأَحْمَدُ بِنَحْوِهِ ، وَرِجَالُهُ ثِقَاتٌ .
Sayyiduna Talhah bin Ubaydullah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: Shall I not tell you something about the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him)? I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Amr bin al-As is one of the righteous people of Quraysh, and what an excellent household these are: the father of Abdullah (that is, Sayyiduna Amr bin al-As (may Allah be pleased with him)), the mother of Abdullah, and Abdullah." (Allamah al-Haythami says:) I say:
