وَعَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ قَالَ : أَجَازَنِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - يَوْمَ الْخَنْدَقِ وَكَسَانِي قِبْطِيَّةً . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَفِيهِ إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ قَيْسِ بْنِ سَعْدِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ ، وَهُوَ ضَعِيفٌ .
Sayyiduna Zayd bin Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him) states: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) gave me permission (to take part in the fighting) on the occasion of the Battle of the Trench, and he gave me a Coptic (garment) to wear.
Imam al-Tabarani recorded it. Its chain contains a narrator, Isma'il bin Qays bin Sa'd bin Zayd, and he is da'if (weak).
