وَعَنْ أَبِي أَيُّوبَ قَالَ : نَزَلَ عَلَيَّ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - وَكُنْتُ أَوَّلَ مَنْ نَزَلَ عَلَيْهِ . قُلْتُ : هُوَ فِي الصَّحِيحِ غَيْرَ قَوْلِهِ : وَكُنْتُ أَوَّلَ مَنْ نَزَلَ عَلَيْهِ . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَفِيهِ هَيَاجُ بْنُ بِسْطَامٍ التَّمِيمِيُّ ، وَهُوَ ضَعِيفٌ .
Sayyiduna Abu Ayyub (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) stayed at my home, and I was the first person with whom the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) stayed. (Allamah al-Haythami says:) I say:
This report is in the Sahih, but without the words: "I was the first person with whom the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) stayed."
Al-Tabarani recorded it; its chain contains Hayyaj bin Bistam al-Tamimi, and he is da'if (weak).
